Neat Wines Partners with Louisiana Hospitality Foundation on Donation Program
$1 from Every Wine Bottle Sold Will Benefit Louisiana Hospitality Industry Workers
December 9, 2020
Neat Wines and the Louisiana Hospitality Foundation announced a new partnership that will raise funding for the Foundation’s programs that support hospitality workers in Louisiana. Neat Wines, a Louisiana-based wine distributor, will donate $1 from every bottle of wine sold in Louisiana to the Louisiana Hospitality Foundation (excluding products that are already associated with another nonprofit program.)
The Neat Wines $1-per-bottle donation program was initially created earlier this year to provide funding to the Hospitality Cares Pandemic Response Fund, a partnership with Louisiana Hospitality Foundation and United Way of Southeast Louisiana, which distributed a total of $2.4 million in micro grants to nearly 4,800 hospitality workers impacted by the pandemic. The owners of Neat Wines – Andy Blouin, Juan Cazabon and Mickey Parenton – are industry veterans and believed that the hospitality sector struggles will likely continue for the foreseeable future. They collectively decided to continue the $1-per-bottle program that will give necessary financial resources to the foundation and their Hospitality Worker Crisis Grant Program.
“We are proud to partner with the Foundation and provide emergency support to hospitality industry workers and their families,” said Andy Blouin, co-owner of Neat Wines.
“Together, we are making a difference in people’s lives across Louisiana. This is important to our company and our customers, it’s part of our culture”, said Juan Cazabon, co-owner of Neat Wines.
“This was a no-brainer for our company,” said Mickey Parenton, co-owner of Neat Wines. “We believe in the work of the Foundation and knew we could help them help others who are struggling.”
“This partnership is so important to our Foundation, especially in 2020 when almost all of our fundraisers had to be cancelled due to the pandemic and government restrictions,” said David Blitch, co-founder and president of the Louisiana Hospitality Foundation. “These donations will provide crucial funding to our crisis grant program where we help people with basic living expenses when they have no other place to turn.”
Neat Wines will be placing bottle hangers around the neck of wine bottles at retailers throughout Louisiana to indicate which bottles can be purchased to support the program. Also, for a list of Neat Wines brands distributed in Louisiana, visit neatwines.com.
