Louisiana Chefs Gather to Support Café Hope
Gold Medal Chefs Showcase Top Cuisine for a Cause
NEW ORLEANS – Jun 22, 2012 –
NEW ORLEANS, La. (June 21, 2012) – The Louisiana Hospitality Foundation (LHF) is announcing its inaugural Gold Medal Chefs dinner, a showcase of culinary talent benefitting a gold medal cause—Café Hope.
The event promises an evening of outstanding cuisine with creations from Chef Keith Frentz of LOLA Restaurant – “King of Louisiana Seafood;” Chef Glen Hogh of Vega Tapas Café; Chef Peter Sclafani of Ruffino’s; Chef Alfred Singleton of Dickie Brennan’s Steakhouse; and Chef Chad Gilchrist of Hilton New Orleans Riverside, where the event will be held. A silent and live auction will augment the funds raised through ticket sales, hosted by emcee Greg Reggio, Co-Founder of Taste Buds and LHF Board Member. The foundation will also present several awards at the event.
“Since its inception, LHF has partnered with Café Hope and embraced the opportunity to help at-risk young adults get the training they need to succeed in the restaurant and hospitality industries. We are excited about making a bigger impact and raising tens of thousands of dollars to support the program,“ stated Jim Besselman, Owner of Ernst Café, Gold Medal Chefs Chairperson and Executive Committee Member of LHF.
