Louisiana Hospitality Foundation Sponsors Benefit for Local Hospitality Industry Member

NEW ORLEANS – Jul 21, 2011 – The Louisiana Hospitality Foundation recently teamed up with the Taste Buds and Louisiana Seafood Promotion & Marketing Board to host LiuzzaPalooza, a fundraiser for Liuzza’s Restaurant and Bar co-owner Michael Bordelon.

The event was produced by the Taste Buds and all proceeds went to benefit Bordelon, who was involved in a violent car accident with a drunk driver in February. Recovering from traumatic brain injury, Bordelon spent a month in the hospital and is undergoing rehabilitation.

“We’re pleased we were able to contribute our time and efforts to aid Michael and his family,” said David Blitch, LHF president. “We hope proceeds raised from this event help him along the path to recovery.”

The Louisiana Hospitality Foundation is a non-profit organization whose mission is to offer greater access to culinary education and arts, while providing support for the health and social welfare of children across the state.  The LHF executes this through community outreach, children’s education, hospitality industry financial assistance and benevolence.
